EMS RECENT NEWS
September 4, 2003 CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Monster.com CEO and Founder Jeff Taylor spoke at Sloan today. The event was cosponsored by EMS's parent group MediaTech and the Sloan Marketing Club. Mr. Taylor spoke on his experiences creating both the business and the brand of Monster, the leading job internet site. He discussed how using blimps, Robert Frost and an aggressive advertising strategy, Monster.com built itself into a nationally recongized brand. He also discussed what challenges the company now faces as it expands globally. He is pictured above with MediaTech presidents Justin Steinman and Lia Schubert, and Sloan Marketing Club representatives Dan Smith and Chris Taylor. Prior to his position at Monster.com, Taylor was founder and President of Adion, Inc., a recruitment advertising firm, until its purchase by TMP Worldwide in 1995. Taylor created the Monster Board and merged the most utilized job board, the Online Career Center, into Monster. He then began to build Monster.com into one of best nationally recognized job boards, employing an aggressive advertising strategy. |
