Microsoft Media and Entertainment Guru Speaks at Sloan

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Cort Fritz, lead Architect Evangelist for Microsoft’s Media and Entertainment group, visited Sloan on behalf of EMS and the MediaTech clubs. Cort and Microsoft hosted a lunchtime presentation for the MIT-Sloan School of Management in which Cort spoke about the merging businesses of media and technology, and where the world’s largest technology firm fits into the mix. Topics of the presentation ranged from digital cinema to the Xbox to Microsoft’s eHome strategy.

Fritz joined Microsoft in 2001 and is the lead Architect Evangelist for the Microsoft Media and Entertainment Group. He’s responsible for Microsoft’s go-to-market strategy for Enterprise Digital Media Technology and has worked with the world’s leading entertainment companies to develop their digital media strategies. Previously Cort was responsible for Microsoft’s Media & Entertainment partnership with Accenture. Prior to joining Microsoft, Cort was the VP of Technology for LAUNCH.com from 1998 to 2001.
